Well, I have to hand to Facebook. They’ve really done a nice job translating a relatively complete Facebook experience from the web to the iPhone . There’s a few UI niceties that really stand out. For example, the News Feed tab has an additional “ticker tape” sliding selector bar that you can scroll to the left and right by flicking to the left or right; it displays a variety of options including the Top Stories, Status Updates, Photos, and more.
The application is responsive and performs well. Status updates are fast as you move from screen to screen. I did get a freeze the first time I used the application after which it exited back to the menu; however, this behavior did not show up in subsequent use.
Overall this upgrade is welcome and a great improvement over the previous version. Great job from an inspired development team!
