Kudos to Lubna Hussein of Sudan for standing up for women’s rights by bringing attention to her upcoming trial for the terrible offense of wearing pants. Her inspirational appeal to the government to change the law such that pants are not viewed as immodest dress for women should be a warning for the conservative leadership that laws cannot be subjectively enforced or interpreted and that women of courage will gladly submit to 40 lashes and a fine to bring change.
